Description
Hyrdo-Axe approximately 19 Acres at eielson AFB between fire training area and airfield loop. Contractor will leave a 10ft wide strip of trees as a noise/sight barrier along fire pit side. (Location plotted by GEOBASE and idtified on aerial map.) Contractor will furnish all labor, transportation, materials, engineering and equipment to Hydro AXE area 1. All trees 8" in diameter and above will be sut down by chainsaw (or other means) stripped (de-limbed) and stacked in a Government specified location on or near the worksite. All other vegetation ( tops, branches, stumps and brush) that can be hyro axed shall be mulched and pulverized and left on site. Contractor shall ensure that mulched and pulverized vegetation will be leveled. Contractor shall ensure that no stumps are left from mulched or pulverized trees. Contractor must provide names, social security numbers and duty hours of all workers. Work to be accomplished in the airfield area is restricted and workers information is required for escorting purposes only. Any debris tossed onto the flightline or any road surfaces must be cleared by the contractor. Roadways will be cleared daily ( end of work day) taxiways and aprons cleared immediately allowing aircraft to taxi. Contractor will notify 354CES/CEOH (377-1270/3110) 2 days before work is to begin in airfield area for coordination with Base operations for Escort purposes. Contractor must notify 354CES/CEOH (377-1270/3310) 1 day in advance if next day will not be a work day. Coordination is important to ensure that an escort is availible during this work period. 354CES/CEOH (377-1270/3110) will provide maps of hydroaxing location.
