Description

The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive award to Elementar Americas, Inc. in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey to lease for 6 months one (1) Elemental Vario Micro Chns Analyzer to be delivered to U.S.Geological Survey, 12201 Sunrise Valley Dr., Reston, VA 20192 by August 11, 2008. This requirement includes an option to purchase the equipment prior to the expiration of the lease. Elementar Americas, Inc. is the only known source for this requirement because research indicates that Elementar Americas, Inc.is the only company that meets our analytical requirements and have a relatively new analyzer for carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and sulfur that has trap and purge capabilities and the ability to be connected to a sulfur continuous flow isotope-ratio mass spectrometer. Elementar Americas, Inc. can provide an analyzer with purge and trap capability that allows low level sulfur isotopic analysis of solids. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). FAX response to 703.648.7367 or email to: abenton@usgs.gov. The NAICS code is 334516. Than anticipated award date of the contract is 06/09/2008. A vendor must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov to be awarded the contract. See Numbered Note 1.
