- The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), intends to award an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type of contract for this acquisition of Recycled Void Kraft Paper and Instamate Film for use in the Sealed Air Corporation machines currently in use at the National Logistic Support Center (NLSC) located in Kansas City, MO. NLSC currently leases Instapak 808 Foam and Jiffy Packers (552) high speed paper dunnage systems for use in their day-to-day operations. These systems are used to package highly sensitive and delicate equipment stored and shipped for the NWS. Use of supplies not specifically manufactured for the Instapak 808 and Jiffy Packers (552) systems will void the warranty/lease agreement currently in place for this equipment. The Government intends to make only one award of an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity type contract for the packing supplies needed. The period of performance will cover a five (5) year period. The acquisition will be conducted in accordance with the process set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 12 - Commercial Items. A solicitation will be issued on or about June 2, 2008 and will be uploaded to the FedBizOpps website; the solicitation can also be requested via fax to 816-274-6923 or via email to carey.m.marlow@noaa.gov. The proposal due date and time will be published in the solicitation. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. It will be the responsibility of interested parties to download the solicitation and related documents, and to revisit the site frequently to obtain any updates/amendments to any and all documents. This solicitation and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2005-25). The prices proposed shall be inclusive of all costs. All firms interested in this notice must respond to this notice by submitting evidence of its capabilities to provide the exact items specified. The Central Region Acquisitions Division requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). No award can be made unless the vendor is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following website: http://www.ccr.gov/. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUN).
