Description
The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, has a requirement for the contractor to furnish all plant, labor and materials necessary to obtain, deliver, and stockpile graded crushed stone at fifteen (15) different Atchafalaya Basin Levee, Red River, Bayou Boeuf, Bayou Sorrel Lock, St. Mary Parish, and Berwick Lock District sites by truck only. This is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. NAICS Code is 423320, which has a size standard of 100 employees. This requirement is being procured as an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract under FAR 12, Commercial Items and will be negotiated and awarded with a base period not to exceed one year and four option periods not to exceed one year each. We anticipate awarding two (2) contracts. Annual contract ceilings will not exceed $750,000.00 each for the base and option years. The work will be awarded by task orders not to exceed the base contract amount. The minimum guarantee is $1,000.00 for the base period and the remaining option periods if exercised. This is a best value procurement action; proposals will be evaluated as lowest price technically acceptable. Evaluation Factors shall include the relevant of Past Performance, Technical Capability, and Price which will be described in the solicitation. Solicitation W912P8-08-R-0052 will be available on or about June 3, 2008. The proposal instructions and closing date and time for submission of proposals will be contained in the solicitation notice and package. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about June 3, 2008, on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov. The Government will not provide written paper copies of the solicitation. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests for the solicitation package will not be honored. Potential offerors MUST register on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov/ in order to receive notification(s) and/or change(s) to the solicitation. The Interested Vendors List (IVL) will be activated and may be accessed and printed from the FedBizOpps web site. Prospective contractors who would like their company name included on the IVL list may do so on the FedBizOpps website under IVL. Potential contractors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. You will need the adobe acrobat reader for.pdf files (www.adobe.com) in order to open most files posted by the New Orleans District. Offerors are also encouraged to post notices of prospective subcontracting opportunities on the Small Business Administrations Subnet, at http://web.sba.gov/subnet.
