Description

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Missouri Water Science Center (MWSC) has a requirement for Acoustic Current Dopplar Profilers. The Teledyne 1200KHZ and 600KHZ Workhorse Rio Grande Acoustic Current Dopplar Profilers are used to measure flow on rivers for developing and maintaining stage discharge relations throughout Missouri. The Acoustic Current Dopplar Profiling equipment is the primary instrumentation used by the MWSC in accordance with the USGS Office of Surface Water Memos 2002.1, 2002.02, and 2006.02. Teledyne's patented Broadband technology has 7x lower standard deviations than Narrowband systems at the same frequency. The U.S. Geological Survey considers this specified requirement as a sole source to Teledyne RD Instruments Inc., 14020 Stowe Drive, Poway, CA 92064. Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish these services at the same cost may submit a capabilities statement to the contracting officer USGS, PO Box 25046 Denver Federal Center, Denver, CO 80025-0046 no later than the closing date of this requirement (06/10/2008), 2:00 PM MST. All submissions will be evaluated to determine if competitive opportunities exist; if no submissions are received by the above appointed time, the Government will proceed with noncompetitive award without further notice. This is NOT a Request for Quote (RFQ); the Government does not anticipate issuing a written solicitation. This notice and any resulting contract or order conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-25, effective 22 May, 2007. No numbered notes apply.
