- Description
- The Contractor shall, independently and not as an agent of the USG, provide the USG with access to up to eight (8) healthy previously splenectomized adult primates (chimpanzees) per year including all American Association for the Accreditation and Assessment of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) approved housing, maintenance and veterinary services for the experimental primates, labor, equipment, facilities, materials, supplies, travel, transportation, veterinary and other animal service required to house, care and feed the chimpanzees. It is believed that Yerkes National Primate Research Center at Emory University is the sole source having the capabilities which will meet the requirements of this solicitation as described above. It is the intent of CDC to award a contract with Emory University School of Medicine if this is found to be true. The NAICS code for this requirement is 561990.
