- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for construction. The Government is soliciting bids from 8a Set Aside Businesses only. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Location of work: 183rd Fighter Wing, Springfield, IL. Magnitude of Construction: between $1 and $5 million. Solicitation will be available after June 6, 2008 on web site. Request solicitation by registering at the web site: http://www.nationalguardcontracting.org. Solicitation, amendments, specifications and drawings may be down loaded from that site. Estimated proposal due date is July 30, 2008 and award date of August 15, 2008. NAICS code is: 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction (formerly 233320) and the small business size standard is $31 Million. SIC code is: 1542 General Contractors Nonresidential Buildings, Other Than Industrial Buildings and Warehouses. The government intends to award a firm fixed price contract. The work shall consist of, but not limited to: water, electrical, and communication services, concrete foundation, pavement between Hush House and existing driveways, storm sewer relocation and new sanitary sewer, oil water separator, and utility stub-ups into Hush House foundation. SITE VISIT: site visits will be held prior to the bid date on 25 June 2008 at 10:00 AM and 26 June 2008 at 2:00 PM (local time). You may attend either, both or none. All individuals wishing to attend the site visit must pre-register by submitting the following information either by fax 217-761-3665 or e-mail: maureen.didonato@us.army.mil not later than 8:00 AM (local) the day of the visit. Information needed: Name, Date of Birth, Last four of social security number, Company name, and phone number. Attendees must have a valid government issued photo identification (Drivers Licenses, Passport, Military ID, etc.). All questions must be submitted in writing to the above Point of Contact, no later than ten calendar days before bids are due.
