- U. S. GOVERNMENT SEEKS EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR TOWER SPACE. MARGARETTSVILLE, NC The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) seeks expressions of interest from owners and authorized agents of existing towers. NOAA presently has a NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) antenna at approximately 190 feet above ground level (AGL) on a tower at 1861 Tower Road, Margarettsville, NC, along with approximately 20 square feet (SF) of floor space in an adjacent structure for a NWR transmitter; and is seeking expressions of interest from owners of other towers in and around the area of Margarettsville, NC for possible relocation of the antenna and equipment. This broadcast antenna provides NWR coverage of Northampton and part of Hartford Counties in north central North Carolina and Southampton, Greensville and part of Sussex Counties in south central Virginia. The Government will consider relocation only if a move is economically advantageous. The Government will consider agency mission requirements, the cost of moving, installation of equipment, etc., when deciding whether it should relocate. Occupancy would be required by August 1, 2008 and will be for 5 to 20 years. This advertisement is not a basis for negotiation. The Government reserves the right to reject any or all expressions of interest and give consideration to properties other than those offered in response to this advertisement. AMOUNT: Position on a tower at c. 300 feet AGL for the placement of NWR property consisting of a High power dipole PD1500-8 antenna; plus floor area in an adjacent structure for placement of a WRST-100 Energy Onix transmitter. NWR will provide and install the equipment. LOCATION: Tower must be in or around the area of Margarettsville, NC. REQUIRED: Utilities, air-conditioning, and standby power are requested as part of the rental consideration. TERM: The lease shall be for a term of 5 to 20 years. OWNERS & AGENTS: This is an expression of interest for available space, NOT an invitation to bid. Interest parties should write, e-mail or call, NOT LATER THAN June 16, 2008 to: Yvonne B. Responses submitted by agents must be accompanied by evidence of the agent's authority to submit an expression of interest on behalf of the tower ownership.
