- Description
- The AMRDEC Software Engineering Directorate (SED) intends to repair 1 Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS) radio. These radios were produced in the early 1990s for Army Air Defense systems such as the Patriot Missile System. The Army produced slightly less than 150 terminals at a cost of ~ $1M each. These radios have been out of production since 1996 and spare parts are very limited. Recently, a Blower/Power Conditioner failed and is now in need of repair. The SED tried going through the normal Army repair process and discovered that the primary vendor can no longer repair these specific parts. The SED found one vendor that can repair the failed Blower/Power Conditioner by replacing certain parts. The contract will be FFP and sole source to IMC Magnetics Corp. Tempe, AZ (CAGE 04320).
