Description
Question: The RFQ asked that the skid be 1 inch X 3 inch channel. The closest size available is 1.410 inch X 3 inch. Is this acceptable? Answer: Yes. Question: After reviewing the specifications we are concerned about the point where the two benches are set side by side creating a pinch point. We are suggesting that we shorten the benches by 1/2 inch to eliminate this pinch point and simulate the spacing between the slats on the benches. Would this be acceptable? Answer: Yes. Question: Are the benches to be welded to the skid or bolted? Answer: Either is acceptable. Question: If they are bolted we are suggesting adding gussets to the skid to insure that remain square when the benches are not attached. Would this beacceptable? Answer: They will not be un-bolted. They will be removed as a unit fromthe vehicle. A gusset is acceptable. Question: To insure that we paint the units correct, we need the military spec. on the paint. Answer: Sherwin Williams has the color. Military Tan CARC Question: In order to insure we meet your needs we would like more information on the removable brace between the benches in the isle area. The desired height location, number per bench, size? Answer: Two per unit. Using steel or aluminum, construct a brace that will attach to the top of the bench, and serve as a guard rail for personnel and as a structural support during installation and removal from the vehicle. A simple bar, maybe 1 inch diameter with a 'Hitch pin' type attachment would suffice.
