- The Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Division intends to acquire 100TB Redundant storage/100TB LTO-4 Backup Solution/2-Node Linux Fileserver Cluster Solution / Infrastructure Solution for the Naval Medical Research Center in Silver Spring, MD. The 100TB Redundant storage/100TB LTO-4 Backup Solution/2-Node Linux Fileserver Cluster Solution / Infrastructure Solution must include 100TB of usable space, Red Hat Linux fileservers, APC backups, 2 wheeled racks, each not to exceed 6 ft. in height, and 3 years of maintenance and support. The required delivery date is 29 August 2008. FISCs intent is to issue a firm fixed price contract in accordance with FAR 12 (Commercial Items) and FAR 13.5 (Test Program for Certain Commercial Items) procedures. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate competitively. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued to Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) https://www.neco.navy.mil under solicitation N00189-T-Z089 on 2 June 2008. The applicable NAICS code is 334111.
