- The U. S. Department of Energy, Office of Scientific and TechnicalInformation(OSTI) intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to LiebertGlobal Services, under FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Sources Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. SimplifiedAcquisitions Procudures under FAR Part 13 will be used.The existing UPS was manufactured by Liebert Global Services and the vendoristhe only source of Liebert Factory trained customer engineers to servicetheequipment. See attached list of required items. Firms who want to challenge the sole source must submit an interest letterthatdemonstrates your firms ability to provide the required items and torationaleas to why they should be considered, as described above. All interest firms must respond by 1:00p.m. (EST), June 17, 2008, to Henrietta Thompson, U.S.Department of Energy, 1 Science.gov Way, Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37830. Fax865-576-3589. A determination by the Government not to compete this noticeissolely within the discretion of the Government. Information received willnormally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether toconducta competive procurement. No reimbursement for any costs connected withproviding the capability will be provided by Department of Energy.
