- Description
- The United States Geological Survey (USGS), Arizona Water Science Center (WSC) of Tucson Arizona has a requirement for software development services. This software service will include a revision of existing USGS software called Alternate Place Entry (APE). This APE program was initially developed for a specific use out of the San Diego Water Science Center and was designed to streamline data collection, processing and storage in GWSI of new ground-water sites. The APE program was found to be a good start on meeting the needs of the Arizona WSC, but needed major revisions to meet project specification for data collection, processing, and storage. The APE program is written in the C# programming language; therefore any interested party must be fluent in C#. The APE application has an integrated component for GIS data called ArcEngine by ERSI software, and the development environment and an understanding of this software component are required to perform these enhancements. Another required component is a PDF builder that will produce completed reports in a PDF format. This software revision must completed with four to five months from date of award and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. Interested parties having the ability to furnish these services may submit a capabilities statement to the Contract Specialist no later than the closing date of this announcement at 17:00 local time. All responses must be in writing by email to the Contract Specialist at sklingler@usgs.gov.
