Description
1) If desktops, will there be a central switch provided? ANSWER: Yes, we can provide any type of central switch needed to conduct a successful training session. 2) Does the room that you are providing for this project have all the necessary items as board, projectors, etc for training purposes? ANSWER: YES 3) What format does the proposal have to be in - electronic, paper? ANSWER: Electronic is fine. 4) What are the hours of training per day? 8 am -5 pm? 9am -6pm? ANSWER: 0800-1600 5) Do we have to provide laptops or can we provide USB keys with Virtual machines instead? If desktops, will there be a central switch provided? ANSWER: USB keys would be great. We have laptops. 6) Will you provide projector and appropriate work environment? ANSWER: Yes, we have 2 projectors & whiteboards. 7) Payment: Can we do 50% down and 50% at end of engagement, or payments throughout the engagement? ANSWER: NO; Payment is made through Wide Area Work Flow. 8) Does the trainer need to have any security clearance? ANSWER: No security clearance is required to access 262 IWAS building. 9) The training is 40-hours and that is 8-hours training per day, but the testing is for approximately 4-hours: Do you want us to do the testing from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Please advise. ANSWER: We would prefer that you stick to the day to day schedule that is outlined on your V6 pamphlet. 10) Your first paragraph states: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. a) Where is the subpart 12.6? b) What exactly do you want us to email or fax as a proposal? C) Is it just the pricing? D) Do you want us to include our certifications, our authorization to train and our authorization to test? ANSWER: Subpart 12.6 is a portion of the FAR - Federal Acquisition Regulation just for reference. Everything required of you is stated in the solicitation. B) I need the quote emailed to heidi.weber@wafair.ang.af.mil by Friday 6 June 08 4 PM Pacific Standard Time. Important information: Tax IDs, D&B # and Cage Codes must be included with your offers. Company information must be registered in CCR (see www.ccr.gov ) Company must be registered in Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF) HTTPS://WAWF.EB.MIL All invoices must be input electronically and all payments will be made electronically. C. Price estimate needs to be very specific and lay out exactly what you are providing, so that the customer may review. Please direct questions and concerns to me by return e-mail. D. Yes, include certifications and authorizations. 11) You wrote: 262 IWAS will require the vendor to conduct the training on site and be responsible to providing all necessary courseware materials(to include but no limited to servers or computers with necessary operating systems), teaching software and books. a) Do you want us to bring our laptops and servers for the training? Or are you going to facilitate the computers for training? Please clarify. ANSWER: We would like the vendor to provide all necessary hardware, software and training materials. 262 IWAS is able to provide central switching hardware required to provide interconnection between laptops. Laptops will be provided if necessary. 12) For the testing, if a particular company is required to take laptops because they can not leave the software in the clients computers, are there any pre-requirements before shipping the boxes with the laptops, from a security point of view? ANSWER: There are currently no pre-requirements to ship laptops to our facility. 13) Which version to be instructed? ANSWER: 262 IWAS requires that the latest version of CEH be purchased and instructed. Class needs to be held at McChord AFB on the dates of July 14- 18 2008. 14) Will the class be 20 or 25 people? ANSWER: Class size is maximum of 20 students. 15) With the extensive amount of material to be covered in this training session it seems to more closely map to the Version 6 CEH instead of the Version 5. Did you want Version 5 or Version 6? ANSWER: V6 or the most current.
