- Sources Sought Notice: The Air Force is seeking sources for apotential Request For Proposal IF ADEQUATE RESPONSES ARE NOT RECEIVED, THE ACQUISITION MAY BE SOLICITED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. This is a sources sought for planning purposes only: FA8601-08-R-0033 WPAFB Demolish Buildings 11400 (4,958 SF), 11401 (3,238 SF), and 11405 (10,372 SF). Buildings 11400 and 11405 are single story, masonry structure built in 1944, and building 1401 is a cable maintenance storage prefab structure, built in 1987. All three buildings are next to each other, with a parking lot in between. The project #s are ZHTV 000052, ZHTV000054, and ZHTV 000053 respectively. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: $250,000 to $500,000 SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:The purpose of this notice is to identify firms for a potential 100 percent set-aside for HUB Zone, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVODS) concerns. IF ADEQUATE RESPONSES ARE NOT RECEIVED, THE ACQUISITION MAY BE SOLICITED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. These firms shall possess the capability and experience to provide the following skills: Work involves isolating utilities, abate asbestos containing material where identified, (existing paint is assumed to have lead base paint). Inspect and dispose of PCB containing ballasts. General demolition, contractor shall keep demo dirt under control, haul away the debris off-base, and restore the area. This is not a notice of solicitation issue. This Sources Sought Notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor does this issuance restrict the Governments acquisition approach. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238910.Interested parties should submit intent by 2:00 p.m. (local Dayton, OH time) on 10 June 2008. Responses should include the following: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for the forthcoming solicitation; (2) Date of HUB Zone and or SDVOSB certification; (3) A listing of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contact with their phone numbers; (4) Evidence of capability to be bonded for bid, performance and payment bonds; (5) Small business certification, for HUBZONE, and for SDVO status if applicable. Responses shall be limited to five pages. No facsimile responses will be accepted. The government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this Sources Sought Notice nor will it reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice.
