Description
1. During the question period that closed on May 30, 2008 one question was submitted. The question received was: Q: In your objectives you state there are 177 centers and it is required that the vendors selected be able to cover all of the centers on a nationwide basis. Then later it in the same paragraph it says the number of awards will be determined by the regional coverage and pricing proposed by the vendors. I am not sure what you are saying. Are you saying that the vendor must be able to service all 177 locations or do you mean that you will be dividing the 177 locations into a number of regions? If you are saying a vendor can bid a region, can you provide a list of regions with the centers in that region? Answer: While we have 177 centers nationwide that need coverage, it is not our expectation that any single firm will be able to provide coverage for all of these sites. We will not be breaking the 177 locations in to regions or any other division/designation. Our statement that the number of awards will be determined by the regional coverage and pricing proposed by the vendors reflects the fact that we expect that there will need to be more than one award to service all 177 locations, but until we receive proposals, we have no way to determine how many contracts will be required to provide coverage to all locations. Offerors are encouraged to propose coverage for whatever sites they are able to service. 2. The date for receipt of proposals has not been extended as a result of this amendment. All terms and conditions remain the same as stated in the original solicitation.
