- This request is an announcement for information for planning purposes. This sources sought does not constitute a Request for Proposal, Request for Quote, or Invitation for Bid. Nor does its issuance in any way restrict the Government's acquisition approach. The 45th Contracting Squadron, Patrick AFB, FL, is seeking potential sources to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform roof repairs and installation of new roofs on various facilities at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. Specifically, work will include roofing demolition, installation and repair of modified bitumen, shingle, tile, and metal roofing systems; and installation and repair of roof details and products typical to the roofing industry. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract with one base year and four one-year options. Based on the outcome of this sources sought part of the requirement may be set-aside for a type of small business concern. The estimated price of the Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract is more than $10,000,000. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Firms responding to this announcement should complete the attached survey in its entirety to include company name, cage code, point of contact, address, and business size (i.e. Large, 8(a), veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBzone, small disadvantaged business, or woman-owned small business). The applicable NAICS code is 238160 with a size standard of $13.0M. The survey may be submitted to Scott Syring via facsimile to 321-853-0904 or email to scott.syring@patrick.af.mil. Responses must be received not later than 3:00 PM local time on 11 June 2008 and address each of the survey items. Survey responses are limited to FIVE (5) pages. All responses shall include in the subject line: "Roofing Capabilities: (COMPANY NAME, BUSINESS SIZE)". SURVEY 1. List roofing project history from the previous 3 years and the following information: a. Project size (square feet) b. Type of roofing system (modified bitumen, shingle, tile, and metal roofing systems) c. Manufacturer of roofing system. d. Description of work that was subcontracted to other companies (e.g. demolition, asbestos removal, etc) 2. Provide a summary of the company's in-house work force to include the total number of employees employed and a brief position description and the number of employees on staff to fill each position. 3. Can the company perform at least 25 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees? 4. Provide an inventory of the company owned equipment that would be used for roofing projects (i.e. dump trucks, cranes, lift equipment, tar kettles, demo equipment). 5. Provide a listing of all roofing manufacturer training certifications to include type of roofing systems, manufacturer, and number of years that these certifications have been held.
