Description: Contractor shall provide conservation services including an initial condition assessment, implementation of treatment, and a final report. The report shall include narrative and images describing the conditions found, work performed and recommendations for future treatment, and maintenance practices. Principal features of the work include the erection, maintenance and removal of scaffolding required to carry out the other work of this project; the conservation of an attached bronze plaque, an attached iron plaque iron elements, replication of iron elements, the replication, painting and re-installation of five stands and tablets and submission of a treatment report. For the purposes of this contract, all existing building material is considered historic fabric. To be considered for this project award, prime Contractor shall be a Professional Associate or Fellow of the American Insitute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works or hold equivalent membership in a similar conservation organization or shall have a graduate degree in conservation from an accredited university. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Dept. of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov.Estimated magnitude of this project is below: $60,000 NAICS CODE and the Small Business Size Standard is $6.5mil. Award will be made on a "Best Value" basis in accordance with the evaluation criteria which will be weighed according to their importance.
