- MARGARET OUTHOUSE CONSTRUCTION REQUEST FOR QUOTES (RFQ) GENERAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this contract is to supply and install an outhouse for the recreation use area of Margaret Bay inside Traitors Cove. Performance period including clean-up is 120 calendar days. The estimated price range for this acquisition is between $25,000 - $100,000. PROJECT LOCATION: The project is located on Revillagigedo Island, 26 miles north of Ketchikan in the Margaret Bay/Traitors Cove area. This area can be accessed by boat or plane from the town of Ketchikan, Alaska. Ketchikan, Alaska is linked to Seattle, Washington via Alaska Airlines, the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry System and barge services from Seattle. OBTAINING A SOLICITATION: The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about June 17, 2008 for viewing and printing. Potential quoters are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet. If unable to successfully obtain the solicitation from the Internet, then a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests must reference solicitation number AG-0116-S-08-0034. Telephone requests will not be honored. Quotes will be due approximately 21 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. NOTIFICATION OF SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: The Forest Service will not notify you of any changes, the vendor is required to monitor this solicitation through this system. IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to receive any contract award, Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) databases. To register your firm in the CCR system, go to: http://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423 or 269-961-5757. To register your firm in the ORCA system, go to: http://www.bpn.gov. The USDA is an equal opportunity provider and employer. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation.
