- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the request for quote for the required items under PR N32209-8141-U001. This procurement is UNRESTRICTED. No solicitation document will not be issued. MSCHQ N10, SMS FIELD DET LITTLE CREEK Norfolk intends to purchase the following items BRAND NAME or EQUAL: (1) Motor Kit F1-121, P/N 3859 - qty 8 ea; (2) Motor Spacer SA-500, P/N 0855-Det - qty 8 ea; (3) Seal Kit SA-500, P/N 876-MAS-SK - qty 8 ea; (4) Bearing Kit SA-500, P/N 0876-MAS-BK – qty 8 ea The above part numbers are Sub-Atlantic Inc. located at 10642 West Little York, Suite100, Houston, TX 77041. FOB: Destination or Origin Delivery to: NWS Yorktown Cheatham Annex, Williamsburg, VA 23185. Delivery Date: on or before 9 weeks After Receipt of Order. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation and are incorporated by reference: 52.204-7 Central Contractor Registration; 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.211-6 BRAND NAME OR EQUAL (a) If an item in this solicitation is identified as brand name or equal, the purchase description reflects the characteristics and level of quality that will satisfy the Government’s needs. The salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics that equal products must meet are specified in the solicitation. (b) To be considered for award, offers of equal products, including equal products of the brand name manufacturer, must-- (1) Meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristic specified in this solicitation; (2) Clearly identify the item by-- (i) Brand name, if any; and (ii) Make or model number; (3) Include descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to previously furnished descriptive data or information available to the Contracting Officer; (4) Clearly describe any modifications the offeror plans to make in a product to make it conform to the solicitation requirements. Mark any descriptive material to clearly show the modifications. (c) The Contracting Officer will evaluate equal products on the basis of information furnished by the offeror or identified in the offer and reasonably available to the Contracting Officer. The Contracting Officer is not responsible for locating or obtaining any information not identified in the offer. (d) Unless the offeror clearly indicates in its offer that the product being offered is an equal product, the offeror shall provide the brand name product referenced in the solicitation. (End of provision) The government will award a contract resulting form this solicitation to the responsible offeror conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items ALTERNATE I (The offeror has completed the annual representations and certification electronically via the ORCA website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
