Description
PLEASE NOTE: THE ARCHIVE DATE DOES NOT REFLECT SOLICITATION DUE DATE. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified contractors interested in providing offers to perform the following work: Repaint two (2) RCL towers. The nominal tower dimensions are 200' high with a 45' nominal square base. Towers are self supported and support active communication antennae that cannot be turned off during the painting process. Other components to be painted include wave-guide supports, and smaller dish supports. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials to complete all exterior work in accordance with the plans and specifications that will be provided. 1. Contract performance time is 45 days. This construction project is being procured by full and open competition.2. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237130 and the small business size standard is $31 Million.3. The dollar range for this project is between $100,000 and $150,000.4. Contractor is expected to perform at least 15% of the work utilizing the contractor's own employees. IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE SOLICITATION CONTRACTORS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING GO/NO GO CRITERIA. OFFERORS MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION TO SUBSTANTIATE THE EXPERIENCE: A listing of a least 3 past or current contracts/projects your firm performed for construction efforts, in the same size ($100,000 to $150,000) and scope of this project. Contracts/project must be either in process or within the last 5 years. Scope is described above. Similar work must include Towers, or other Active Communication Facilities. Offeror shall identify the contracting agency, (FAA, Other Federal, State, local governments, and private). You must provide the contract number or project identifier, which includes a point of contact and phone number.. NOTE: CONTRACTORS MUST HAVE ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) BEFORE AWARD CAN BE MADE. CONTRACTORS CAN REGISTER AT: http://www.ccr.gov/. For security reasons, this solicitation will be distributed using the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) system. FedBizOpps is an E-Gov initiative that provides a secure environment for distributing sensitive acquisition information (to include Sensitive Unclassified Information (SUI)) to vendors during the solicitation phase of procurement. This system electronically disseminates information or data to the vendor community while still protecting SUI from unauthorized distribution. The complete solicitation will be uploaded into FedBizOpps. As FAA utilizes the FAA Contract Opportunities website to announce procurement opportunities, COs will utilize the Non-FBO Secure Document Link functionality in FedBizOpps when electronically distributing SUI. Interested offerors must register with FedBizOpps before accessing the system. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
