Description

THIS PROJECT WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR REVIEWING AND PRINTING IN APPROXIMATELY 15 DAYS. The project consists of removing an existing steel truss bridge, modifying the existing abutments for a new structure, pick-up and transport a Government-furnished Acrow panel steel bridge from Missoula, MT, and erecting and setting the 110’ Acrow bridge across the Salmon River. There is a fiber optic utility line running along the existing bridge which the Contractor will need to work with Custer Telephone to temporarily move away from the site while work is being completed and reattached along the bridge once work is completed. The existing bridge is closed to traffic so no equipment will be allowed to cross it. The access to the south abutment is by driving approximately 8 miles east on Highway 75, crossing the Salmon River, and driving 8 miles west on Forest Service Road #70454 on the south side of the river. This road is a narrow single-lane road with turnouts and crosses private property for which the Forest Service has a temporary easement for this project. The trip will take approximately 1 hour to drive by pickup. This project is located on FS Road 70454, Custer County, T11N, R15E, Section 28, 20 miles east of Stanley, Idaho, 0.02 miles off of Highway 75. NAICS code: 237310. Size Standard: $31.0 Million. Estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Estimated start date is 8/01/08 with 90 calendar days for completion. This procurement is under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, which is not a small business set aside. This is a 100% Hubzone Set Aside.
