Description
This is for MARKET RESEARCH ONLY, and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, a Request for Proposals, a Solicitation, a Request for Quotes, or an indication the Government will contract for the items contained in the announcement. This is a Sources Sought regarding potential sources. The intent of this Sources Sought announcement is to conduct market research to determine the availability and capability of small businesses (including certified 8(a), Small Disadvantaged, HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Women-Owned) to provide the Food and Administration is with the following equipment: Hyper Spectral Imaging System to include: VNIR Hyper spectral imager with Cooke Pixelfly QE CCD detector; Integrated middleware drivers; ProScan upright Stage w/adapter ring for BX41, 10nm step resolution, slide holder; ProScan II controller for XY stage, XY joystick; Hyper Spectral Image Analysis Software,; Double photo/video port, camera mount, c-mount, 2.5x projection lens; Dolan Jenner Illumination, manual iris and IR filter holder; Flexible fiber optic; Fiber optic adapter; T3400 computer with dual monitors; training and installation. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees. Interested Contractors must directly demonstrate the company's capability, experience, and/or ability to marshal resources to effectively and efficiently perform each of the tasks described above at a sufficient level of detail to allow definitive numerical evaluation; and evidence that the contractor can satisfy the minimum requirements listed above while in compliance with FAR 52.219-14 ("Limitations on Subcontracting"). Failure to definitively address each of these factors will result in a finding that respondent lacks capability to perform the work. Responses to this notice shall include the following: Company name and address, phone number, point of contact, email address, business size, solicitation number and identify references directly related to the requirement listed above. Capability statements are due June 10, 2008, 2:00 p.m. (central time - Jefferson, Arkansas) by postal mail, fax, or email to the Food and Drug Administration, Office of Field Financial and Acquisition Services, Attn: Regina Williams, HFT-320, 3900 NCTR Road, Jefferson, AR 72079.
