Description
This is a Market Survey to identify potential sources to manufacture and deliver the electro mechanical-spinning mass technology CN-1552( )-A Pitch Rate Gyroscopes (gyros) that are currently used in the Army UH-60A-L Black Hawk Helicopters. The current known supplier for the CN-1552-A, NSN 6615-01-110-1083, PN 304580-1 and CN-1552A-A, NSN 6615-01-213-9126, PN 13120 gyros is Atlantic Inertial Systems Inc, Cheshire, CT. The Army is interested in any other suppliers who can deliver 30 new spinning mass gyros within 30 days after award of contract (DAC), then at a monthly rate of 40 gyros per month. The Government intends to award a one time contract for about 211 gyros. Requirements for consideration for this contractual effort are as follows. Suppliers must certify that they can start delivery of the 30 items No Later Than 30 DAC then at a monthly rate of 40 units. Due to the urgent need for gyros, the Army cannot afford delays involved in qualifying other sources for spinning mass technology CN-1552 gyros for this immediate contractual effort. However, any other suppliers that might be interested in becoming a qualified source for future contracts for the CN-1552( )-A and CN-1564( )-A gyros, must obtain Safety of Airworthiness Qualification (SAQ) Certification approval by the AMCOM Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED), AMSRD-AMR-AE, Bldg 4488 2nd Floor, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama 35898-5000 and ultimately receive AMCOM AED full Air Worthiness Release Certification for the CN-1552( )/A and CN-1564( )-A gyros. Suppliers capable of manufacturing and delivering these items as specified above must so indicate, by writing to Commander, US Army CECOM LCMC, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AC, Building 1200E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043. The response must also include documentation substantiating that the supplier is already a proven source for the CN-1552-A or CN-1552A-A gyros. This Market Survey does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it guarantee any future contract. No telephone responses will be accepted, only responses in writing or email will be considered.
