- Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to provide the renovation of building 3057 (hangar) at Duke Field, Eglin AFB FL. This is a 100% small business set-aside acquisition. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220 and the size standard of $31M. This is a Performance Price Trade Off acquisition and award will be made based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. This project includes but is not limited to the following: the removal and replacement of the exterior envelope including roofs, windows, doors, and siding, removal and replacement of the hangar doors and renovation of the interior spaces including resurfacing the hangar floor. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work is located at Duke Field, Eglin AFB FL. Estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance period is 300 calendar days. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Government Electronic Posting System (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about 20 Jun 08. The ESTIMATED PROPOSAL DUE DATE is 25 Jul 08. No response to this notice is necessary and no Source List will be maintained. All interested contractors are encouraged to register on the Interested Vendors List on the Federal Business Opportunities website. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database (www.ccr.gov) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) (www.orca.bpn.gov) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR or ORCA database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS Number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
