- ONLY WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE HONORED. IMPORTANT: TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED. The contractor shall provide all supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation to perform the labor necessary to remove the existing steel canopy and install a Government furnished “Steel King” prefabricated structural steel canopy 24’ wide X 40’ long X 18’ high. The project is located at the USCG, Integrated Support Command, Building N22, Kodiak, Alaska. Work includes, but is not limited to: Electrical, welding, bolting, caulking, gutters and downspouts, touch-up painting and painting of two columns, according to these specifications and Steel King Construction Company’s written installation instructions and the attached drawings. Contractor will be selected based on the lowest price technically accepted. All responsible sources that submit a written quotation will be considered. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: As stated in the Scope of Work which will be included in the Request for Quote Documents. PERFORMANCE PERIOD is 10 -20 days. Work to be performed by: SEP 15, 2008. SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD may include but are not limited to: Welders Certification, experience, and qualifications, manufacturer catalogs, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams, etc., in addition to references and qualifications. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the Government and may constitute grounds for disqualification. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: applicable Coast Guard Safety Regulations, federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to water, air, and noise pollution. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY JUNE 26, 2008. A SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD JULY 10, 2008, APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS BEFORE QUOTE IS DUE. (Site visits are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged.) Location: U.S. Coast Guard, Integrated Support Command, Kodiak, Alaska. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE IS $10,000 - $25,000.
