Description
ONLY WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE HONORED. IMPORTANT: TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED. The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, transportation and materials required to perform the work listed as specified in the Statement of Work. Work includes, but is not limited to: Remove and Dispose of the damaged fender system including Greenheart and Creosote piles, timber chocks, timber wales, and damaged hardware. Replace with new Government Furnished Greenheart piles and Creosote treated Douglas Fir piles. Replace treated timber chocks, timber wales and blocking with Contractor Furnished treated Timbers. According to the SOW and Drawings. Contractor will be selected based on the lowest price technically accepted. All responsible sources that submit a written quotation will be considered. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: Listed in Statement of Work with Solicitation Package. PERFORMANCE PERIOD is 30-45 days. Work to be performed after SEPT 30, 2008. SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD may include but are not limited to: manufacturer catalogs, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams, etc., in addition to references and qualifications. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the Government and may constitute grounds for disqualification. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: applicable Coast Guard Safety Regulations, federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to water, air, and noise pollution. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY MAY 5, 2008. A SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD July 9, 2008, APPROXIMATELY THREE WEEKS BEFORE QUOTE IS DUE. (Site visits are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged.) Location: U.S. Coast Guard, Integrated Support Command, Kodiak, Alaska. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE IS $25,000 - $50,000.
