Description
The U.S. General Services Administration is soliciting quotes (Request For Quote) for a contractor to repair handicap ramp at the James A. McClure Federal Building, 550 W. Fort Street, Boise Idaho 83724. All work shall be in strict accordance with the scope of work identified in the solicitation. The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) code is 236220. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove and reset granite pavers on Handicap ramp to eliminate water ponding; including but not limited to remove stainless steel railing on ramp to allow the removal of granite pavers in the two identified areas. Remove as many granite pavers as necessary in both locations. Rebuild the substructure in both locations and reset granite pavers to allow for water runoff. Re-install the stainless steel railing and re-seal all joints. Contractor shall comply with all local and State codes for angle and slope requirements that pertain to Handicap ramps. See full SOW in the solicitation package with attached drawing, clauses, terms and conditions. Contractor personnel are required to obtain GSA security clearances, which require background checks. Contractors must be registered and active in CCR (http://www.ccr.gov) in order to be considered for award. Work associated with this request is subject to the U.S. Department of Labor, General Wage Decision for Idaho State (Number: ID080002, dated 06/06/2008 (ID2) Construction Type: Building. (A copy of this full decision is incorporated into the solicitation.) Site visits prior to submitting an offer is highly encouraged. The project manager is Mr. Scott Graham, GSA Boise Property Manager, Boise Idaho. Anticipate a one time only site visit at the project location on Wednesday, 11 June 2008 at 10:00 a.m. (Mountain Time). Interested offers should meet Mr. Graham in the lobby of the James A. McClure Federal Building, 550 W. Fort Street, Boise, Idaho. Order of Magnitude for this construction project is less than $25,000.00. Performance period is 30 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed with the construction work. Security clearances will be required for all workers. Evaluation Factor for Award: The Government intends to make award to a Small Business Concern (set-aside) based on price and price related factors. The Contractor shall provide with the price offer sufficient data to clearly define price factors (i.e. cost estimate breakdown showing labor, supplies, materials, overhead, and profit) direct and indirect cost. The Government reserves the right to negotiate with offers after receipt of offers. This procurement is being set-aside for Small Businesses, all responsible & responsive offers will be considered. No Bonding is required. Certificate of Liability Insurance will be required. The solicitation will be issued (available) on Wednesday 11 June 2008 and will close on Monday, 30 June 2008 at 4:30 p.m. (Mountain Time).
