- DESCRIPTION: The work of this contract is for the repair of a potable water storage tank (54,500-gallon above-ground glass-fused steel) from snow damage and consists of:1. Providing all equipment, material and labor to remove and dispose of the collapsed knuckle roof, the sheets of the top ring, and the water level gauge.2. Furnish and install a new roof and new water level gauge.3. Repair and reinstall interior and exterior ladders to lower height, safety cage and platform to fit; repair and reinstall internal piping to lower height, pressure washing tank interior and exterior before repair and general cleaning after repair; inspect all internal surfaces for coating integrity and leak tightness, and repair as needed; remove and reapply mastic at all joints; provide and install plastic caps for all exterior bolts and any missing caps on interior bolts; provide and install new stainless steel piping support brackets; and reconnect water level floats. 4. Upon completion of the repair, conduct leak testing, clean and disinfect all surfaces that were worked on or may come into contact with foreign matters during the repair; conduct microbiological sampling and testing to ensure cleaning and disinfection processes were adequate.5. Perform any incidental minor repairs or coating touch-up to ensure the repair and fully restore tank's water tightness.Work shall commence soon after award to restore full water service to the 100+ site campground as soon as possible. LOCATION: This project is located at Colonial Creek Campground in North Cascades National Park Service Complex, western Washington. The campground is on State Route 20, approximately 70 miles east of Interstate 5 at Sedro-Woolley. The tank site is accessed via a service road. SOLICITATION DETAILS: This is a best value procurement open to business concerns of all sizes. The NAICS code for this project is 237110 and the small business size standard is $31.0 million, average annual gross receipts for the past three years.
