Description
The Moon Lake Campground Comfort Station Replacement Project consists of demolition and disposal of the two existing 6-unit masonry, flush comfort station buildings; and the construction of two new 6-unit flush comfort stations in their place. The new comfort station buildings will be connected to the existing water, on-site wastewater disposal system, and electrical utilities. The new buildings can be either site build 6-unit flush, brick comfort station buildings constructed in accordance with Government provided drawings and specifications; or the buildings can be off site manufactured, precast concrete 6-unit flush comfort station buildings delivered to and installed on the site and connected to the existing utilities complete and ready for use. If the off-site, manufactured precast restroom building option is chosen, the architectural characteristics of the buildings should be in line with the Forest Service's Built Environmental Image guide for buildings in the Rock Mountain Province. For example; roofs with moderate pitch and overhangs with simulated shake roof texture of appropriate color, exterior walls with simulated rock base and simulated horizontal lap siding or rough sawn timber texturing of appropriate color. Buildings should have screen walls. The colors shall be natural earth tone colors representative of a forested setting. Moon Lake Campground is located on the shore of Moon Lake about 18 miles north of Duchesne, Ut on State route 87 and 134 to Mt. Home, UT; then on north about 15 miles to Moon Lake. Duchesne, Ut is about 115 miles east of Salt Lake City by way of I-80 and US 40. The roads are paved all the way to the campground. The site elevations is 8100 ft. Project is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. Site Visit is scheduled for July 09, 2008 at 11:00 am meeting at Moon Lake Campground. Solicitation to be uploaded on approx. June 24, 2008.
