Description
US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, 201 N. 3rd, Walla, Walla, Washington, intends to solicit and award a sole-source commercial firm fixed price service contract to Renewable Technologies, Inc (RTI) to continue gathering information in assessing the condition of cultural properties located within Dworshak Reservoir. This work is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting to a single source. Award is expected 18 June 2008. The period of performance is 24 months. DESCRIPTION. As part of its mandated responsibilities for cultural resource management under the National Historic Preservation Act as amended, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is continuing a Federal Columbia River Power System site monitoring program to gather information useful in assessing the condition of cultural properties located with the Dworsahk Reservoir. These cultural properties are significantly, even uniquely, impacted by reservoir operations due to the geomorphic characteristics of the reservoir. The main objective of this requirement will be to continue a five-year effort utilizing Task A (FY08) monitoring effort and Task B (FY09) for final report to gather enough information that can serve as the basis for developing rational and sound decisions about the long-term management of historic properties. RTI has been gathering this data for 3-years on reservoir impacts to a representative sample of sites on Dworshak Reservoir. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, responses received by June 16th, 2008, will be considered by the Government. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform this effort in writing to Patti Record no later than 14:00 hrs Pacific Time Zone on 16-June-2008. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the government to: patti.c.record@usace.army.mil with Monitoring Cultural Resource Sites at Dworshak Reservoir referenced in the subject line.
