Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Capital District Contracting Center, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060 intends to award a on a sole source basis to ObjectFX Corporation for the purchase of 7 month + 3-year license for for software maintenance of SpatialFX External Data Formats Option (EDFO), Deployment Server, Deployment Seat (200) and Spatial FX 2525B Symbology Service Server licenses. Three one-year options, for continued/ additional Spatial FX software maintenance will be included in the proposed contract. Operations & Maintenance, Army (OMA) appropriations will be used to fund this renewal. No other similar reference system on this subject exists. The proposed action will provide for Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software licenses and software maintenance to include technical support services and patch upgrades, to support the Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) of SEC Intelligence Fusion (IF), Analysis and Control Element (ACE) Block II applications ACE Block II applications are currently fielded to units deployed worldwide in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)/Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). The proposed contract will provide software maintenance, to include upgrades for all the SpatialFX software licenses currently under PDSS at SEC-H. The software provides geospatial maps, which are used as gateways into multiple information sources. These maps provide real-time views of dynamic information such as vehicle locations, network traffic, troop deployments, and status of geographically dispersed projects. The total estimated price of the proposed action, including options is $1.86M. All written responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis, the contracting officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended schedule vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis. If no affirmative written response, indicating that a comparable source is available, is received within 5 calendar days of publication of this synopsis, an order will be placed against the requirement mentioned above.
