- The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East located at the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for the turnkey removal of two (2) existing compressors and one (1) dryer and the complete turnkey design, manufacturing, delivery, installation of one (1) new rotary screw compressor (RSC) system which shall include one (1) new refrigerated compressed air dryer, one (1) new dew point monitor and accessories and to provide new RSC associated piping in the existing metal building where the existing RSC equipment is currently housed. The new RSC shall be capable of providing at least 400 scfm at 125 psig. The RSC system, when complete, shall dry 100% saturated air at various volume flow rates for two buildings (Bldg 4032 and Bldg 4173) located at FRC-East. The designated refrigerated dryer shall be sized to sufficiently handle the selected compressor. The equipment provided shall be the manufacturer’s current production model, new and unused, capable of performing its intended function in accordance with the operation and performance requirements of the specifications as they appear in the statement of work (SOW). The equipment, piping and associated accessories shall form a complete system so when connected to the utilities identified in the SOW, it can be used for all functions for which it is designed and constructed. The applicable NAICS 333912 with a corresponding size standard of 500 employees. The solicitation and all information relating to this requirement will be posted at FedBizOps. This procurement will be 100% set aside for Small Business. An official solicitation will be posted at FedBizOps on or around July 31st, 2008. A pre-solicitation conference and site visit will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9th, 2008. A draft Statement of Work (SOW) for the purpose of soliciting industry comments and Site Visit instructions will be uploaded at FedBizOps on or around June 20, 2008.
