- This invitation for bids is for the Hazardous Material Control Center (HMCC) and Hazardous Waster Services, Fort Rucker, Alabama during the period 1 October 2008 through 30 September 2009. Four one-year option periods will be included, for possible performance through September 2013. The contractor will provide the staffing necessary to operate the HMCC, to execute the HMCC responsibilities as outlined in the Performance Work Statement, to oversee and operate the Government approved computer tracking system, to professionally interface with customers, and to partner with the government in the use of procedures and policies which are advantageous to the government and to customers. The purpose of the Hazardous Material Management Program (HMMP) is to provide a framework for managing hazardous materials in a manner which is efficient and effective, which enhances the mission, and which enables the installation and each organization to meet all necessary safety and environmental requirements. The NAICS code is 561210, the FSC code is S216, and the small business size standard is $28.5 million. The solicitation will be posted to the Army Single Face to Industry web page (http://acquisition.army.mil) and to the Fort Rucker Directorate of Contracting web page (http://www.rucker.army.mil/doc/doc.htm). The solicitation is planned for issuance on or about 15 July 2008, and bids are planned to be opened on or about 15 August 2008; these dates are subject to change.
