Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. W911XK-08-T-0098-Relay Rail & Clips for Soo Area Office Solicitation W911XK-08-T-0098 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-23. The NAICS is 331511, business size is 500 employees and the acquisition is being solicited as unrestricted. Item Description Line Item 0001, Rail, A.R.E.A. Number One Relay Rail, 27 Pieces of 36 8 to 39 long. Note: See Specifications for additional details. Item Description Line Item 0002, Clips, Standard one-Piece Rail Clips for crane rail 100 RE. The Government intends to make one single award to the most responsive and responsible lowest price quote. Type of contract will be firm fixed price. SPECIFICATIONS: 100 Pound ASE Rails Relay Rail. Ship to: Soo Area Office, Corps of Engineers, 119 Water St., Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, 49783. Scope of Work: The Contractor shall furnish approximately 1000 lineal feet or more, 27 pieces or more of 36 8 to 39 long 100 Pound A.R.E.A. Rail, Number One Relay Rail. Product pricing is to include delivery to the Soo Area Office as noted below. GENERAL: Start/Completion Dates: The Contractor shall begin work immediately and complete delivery work within 10 days of the Notice to Proceed. Delivery: The Soo Area Office is located on the St. Marys River, 119 Water Street, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, 49783. When the product is to be delivered to St. Marys Falls Canal, Poe Lock, the Government will have a 5 ton forklift available to unload the grating if shipped by truck and the contractor makes prior arrangements with the Technical Representative. The contractor shall notify the Technical Representative, Edward C. Hallquist, 906-635-3477 at least 48 hours prior to the proposed delivery date. Shipping and Receiving Representative is Amy Dalsky. Please notify her of shipments 48 hours prior to the proposed delivery date at 906-635-3450, cell 906-440-4994. Corps of Engineers Inspection: Corps of Engineers technical representative shall be allowed to inspect the progress of any portion of this project at the Contractors work site. The rail will be inspected within 2 days of arrival at the Soo Area Office, and when found compliant with this specification, approved by the Governments Technical Representative. Technical Representative: 2. DRAWINGS: Contract Drawings: No contract drawings are provided. 3. Reference: ASTM A-1 specifications. 4. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Rail is to comply with the ASTM A-1. 5. FURNISH THE FOLLOWING: Item 1) 100 Pound A.R.E.A Rail, No. 1 Relay Rail, 39 feet long each piece, Furnish 27 Pieces. Item 2) Standard One-Piece Rail Clips for Crane Rail 100 lb RE, Clip No. 62, Furnish1000 Pieces. 5. PROTECTION OF FINISHED SURFACES: The rail shall be straight and meeting all requirements of No. 1 Relay Rail when delivered. The provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items is applicable. Offerors must submit a completed offer schedule and acknowledgement of all amendments issued. The successful offeror MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Program @ www.ccr.gov and https://ora.bpn.gov. The following clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items.
