Description
This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this Request for Quotes is Q1720080023. The solicitation documents, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-25 This soliciation will be performed as a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this project will be 423220 with a size standard of 100 employees. All quotes are due on July 2, 2008 by 4:00pm EST. ALL QUOTES SHOULD BE PROVIDED IN THE ATTACHED PRICE SCHEDULE FORMAT. Quotes may be submitted by mail or by e-mail. E-mail: alissa_turner@nps.govAddress: Alissa Turner, Boston National Historical Park, Charlestown Navy Yard, Boston, MA 02129 SCOPE OF WORK:This scope of work includes providing and installing window coverings for up to sixty-nine (69) windows at Building I in the Charlestown Navy Yard at Boston National Historical Park, and seven (7) windows at the Bunker Hill Museum, located across the street from Bunker Hill National Monument. It also includes removing and relocating seven (7) existing window coverings in the Bunker Hill Museum. Work will consist of a base project with two option items. Please refer to the detailed Line Item/ Project breakdown located below product specfications for a more detailed description of the base project and option items. The Contractor will be responsible for providing and installing window coverings inside the window opening per industry installation standards. PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS:Building I - Charlestown Navy Yard Approximate window sash dimensions for each window type are provided on the Contract Price Schedule under Building I - Charlestown Navy Yard. The attached drawings, Sub Sheet Nos. A210 and A211 are for window location purposes only. The title "Marine Barracks, Window Replacement, Exterior Elevations is "X"ed out. All Window Types referred to in the Contract Price Schedule are noted on these drawings for reference only, and are on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th levels of the building.All dimensions must be field verified by the contractor prior to product delivery and installation. Sixty-six (66) of the window coverings are to be Product - Style 2 3/8" Wood Blind - Manual Cord Control; IB Window Box Interior Mount, Cord Control, Tilt Control. Three (3) of the window coverings are to be Hunter Douglas: Room Darkening Shades: Duette D12 - 1 1/4" Single Cell Blackout, Standard Headrail, Right Lift Control, True Rise Lifting System; Inside Mount, or NPS approved equal. All sixty-nine (69) window coverings are to be white in color, to match existing shutters on 1st Floor of Building I as closely as possible. The Contractor is to provide the NPS with white color samples for all blind types previous to on-site field verification. The Contracting Officer or his designated Representative will accompany the Contractor during field verification to confirm all window locations targeted for window coverings, and to specify white color and style for the 2 types of blinds to be provided. Bunker Hill Museum - First FloorThe attached drawings, Sub Sheet Nos. A1.12 and A1.13 are for window location purposes only. This portion of the contract includes supplying and installing seven (7) new blinds, and removing and reinstalling (7) existing blinds previously installed. The new blinds are to be room darkening blinds, and are to match the existing blinds on Bunker Hill Museum windows, except as blinds may slightly differ due to room darkening qualities. The existing blinds as specified are Product - Style 2 3/8" Wood Blind - Manual Cord Control; Color White, IB Window Box, Interior Mount, Cord Control, Tilt Control. All new blinds are to be consistent with this specification as provided. The seven blinds to be removed are on the first floor, and they are to be re-installed on windows on the second floor. The new room darkening blinds are to be installed on the first floor. All window locations and actions will be specified on site by the Contracting Officer or his designated Representative. All window dimensions, locations, colors and styles must be field verified by the contractor, and approved by the Contracting Officer or his designated Representative prior to product delivery and installation. The Contractor is to provide to the Contracting Officer white color samples for room darkening blinds previous to on-site field verification.
