This will standardize the work environment for the staff members at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA across all facets of the patient care process. Philips Medical provides a robust networking solution for the monitors. The implementation is completely tailored to the particular necessities of the hospital to facilitate the transfer of all the information on the aging central recording unit currently in use. This includes all interfaces and cabling. This central recording system is a Philips Medical unit and was installed at the NMC Portsmouth in 1999. The Statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act as implemented by FAR 13.501, u sing the test program for commercial items. The applicable NAICS Code is 339112 with a size standard of 500 employees. This notice is for informational purposes only; NO FORMAL SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED as a result of this announcement. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information in response to this notice via email to the address listed below, no later than June 19, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST. A determination by the Government not to complete this proposed contract is entirely in the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received by June 19, 2008 at 2:00 PM EST, a sole source contract with Philips Electronics North America Corp will be pursued.
