Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is unrestricted. The NAICS Code for this synopsis/solicitation is 923110, Size Standard __N/A__. Solicitation/Purchase Request number F2KBAA7318A001 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26 effective 12 Jun 08. The Government intends to award one contract line item number (CLIN 0001) for Support research of Nano-tubes in CMOS devices The contractor shall furnish computer generated modeling data based on computer codes capable of predicting the performance of non-classical Carbon Nano-Tube (CNT) based amplifying devices that perform functions analogous to field effect transistors. These candidate electronic devices have been identified as potential future replacements for traditional planar field effect transistors utilized in all present digital electronic devices. Specific Requirements: The contractor shall provide the necessary modeling results for CNT based Field Effect Transistors (FET) required to design and develop the basic logic circuits used in developing future systems for defense related applications. The contractor shall include the following: a. Physical Dimensions of CNT FET used. b. List of parameters used in modeling. c. Results of sub-threshold voltage swing. d. Current voltage results including gain values. e. Current driving capability of CNT FET. All work shall be coordinated by AFRL VSSE customer and the contracting office. This project shall be completed by comparing the results with state of the art publications in the field of work. The contractor has one year to complete the work from the contract start date QUANTITY:__1__ UNIT OF MEASURE:_YR_ DESIRED PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 23 June 08 - 23 June 09 FOB: DESTINATION.
