Description
NAICS Code: 811219 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Biological & Economic Analysis Division (BEAD) in Ft. Meade, MD, intends to award a Purchase Order to Rees Scientific Corporation, of Trenton, NJ, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13,Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The purpose of this purchase order is to acquire maintenance services for a Rees Scientific Environmental Monitoring System for the period of July 20, 2008 through July 19, 2011. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 811219. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. It has been determined that Rees Scientific Corporation is uniquely qualified to satisfy the Government's requirement as they are the sole provider of maintenance for this equipment. Under this Purchase Order, the vendor shall provide a comprehensive validation and service package, which includes but is not limited to the following services: 1) New software validation test report, 2) Software updates, 3) On-site training at time of validation, 4) 24-hour phone support, 5) On-site service (including all parts and labor), 6) Newly revised IQ/OQ protocol, 7) Calibration of all temperature and humidity sensors with NIST traceable device, and 8) Annual preventative maintenance visit. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement, as stated herein, may submit their corporate capabilities, which, if received by the response date of this announcement, may be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing and submitted to Nicole Humphrey, Contract Specialist at humphrey.nicole@epa.gov. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
