- Description
- The National Park Service will be soliciting offers (proposals) for clearing scenic vistas along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina and Virginia. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a two lane 470-mile scenic highway surrounded by natural beauty. The objective of this project is to provide clear and unobstructed views of the many scenic mountain ranges from the roadside and parking overlooks along the Parkway. The work includes cutting brush, shrubs, briars, vines and trees as specified for each vista listed on the vista logs. This project is a multiple-year contract (3 years) which includes Base Year One with Option Year Two and Option Year Three. Base Year One covers clearing 314 vistas from Milepost 330.9 to Milepost 469 in North Carolina; Option Year Two covers clearing 261 vistas from Milepost 0 to Milepost 216 in Virginia; and Option Year Three covers clearing 285 vistas from Milepost 216 in Virginia to Milepost 330.8 in North Carolina. The NAICS Code for this project is 115310 and the small business size standard is $6.5 million. This acquisition is subject to the Service Contract Act and all applicable Department of Labor wage determinations. The Solicitation Document/Request for Proposals (RFP) will be available on or about JULY 8, 2008. The due date for offers will be specified in the Solicitation Document/RFP.
