- The Government (88 CONS/PKA) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(ii). The proposed source is: NEWPORT CORPORATION, IRVINE, CA The items being procured are: LASER MODEL MATISSE-TX, WAVELENGTH SCANNING BY LONG TRAVEL STABILIZED PIEZO, FAST CAVITY-LENGTH STABILIZATION BY AN INTRA-CAVITY ELECTRO-OPTIC MODULATOR (EOM) AND HIGH PERFORMANCE DIGITIAL SIGNAL PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY (QUANTITY: 1 EACH) and; OPTIC SET FOR RING CAVITY 780-870nm, MODEL NUMBER MOS-2 (QUANTITY: 1 EACH) (Location: Air Force Institute of Technology, 2950 Hobson Way, Buidling 640, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433) This notice is being published for information purposes only, and is not a request for competitive quotations. However, any quotations received within five (5) business days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
