Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation issued pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulations Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ) and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures based on lowest price technically acceptable. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-21. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 423450 and the small business size standard is 500. This requirement is set-aside for small businesses. This acquisition is for a MRI Scan Room Fiber Optic Lighting System. This system will replace the typical incandescent fixture systems used inside of an MRI Scan Room. The lighting system must be based upon the site specific requirements for a Philips 3 Tesla MRI System. The system will consist of the following: three 150 watt light source units with remote dimming control and UPS backup; glass fiber optic distribution harness for three light circuits; light output end fittings with adjustable direction and focus; all electrical equipment is located outside of shielded room eliminates interference to MRI operation; long life metal halide lamp rates at about 6000 hours running time and system eliminated constant maintenance of lamps inside of scan room (lamp in light source can be changed in approximately 5 minutes. Contractor shall provide expected time for completion of work and testing and a breakdown of costs. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by this agency. SECTION I 1.
