Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the acquisition of services for software maintenance for IBM Tivoli Passport Advantage. The period of performance for the contract is September 1, 2008 through August 31, 2009. There are two additional option years, which will extend the support through August 31, 2011, if exercised. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Air Traffic Organization, Facilities/Technical Operations, is conducting a Market Survey / Request for Information to determine interest in providing the above services. This announcement is not a screening information request (SIR) or request for proposal (RFP) of any kind. It is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Further, the FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition to service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. Respondents must provide their strategy for accomplishing this work, including the percentage of work that will be done by eligible small, service-disabled veteran-owned and 8(a) certified businesses. The NAICS code for this requirement is 423430, Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesalers, with a small business size standard of 100 employees. The FAA will not pay for any costs associated with the preparation of responses or information provided in response to the Market Survey, nor reimburse or otherwise pay any costs incurred by any party responding to this announcement. Therefore, any costs associated with the Market Survey submission are solely at the interested parties' expense. Any information provided under this request for information is for informational purposes only and will not be released to the public. Any proprietary information submitted must be adequately marked as proprietary and will be protected accordingly. The interested vendor's response must be submitted no later than 2:00 P.M. local time on July 14, 2008. All responses to this Market Survey must be in writing, on company letterhead, and must demonstrate that the company can meet the minimum support requirements provided above. Limit responses to 5 pages and include a Business Declaration Form (Attached). Submit responses by overnight delivery or email to: Federal Aviation AdministrationAttn: Bill Willenbring, AJA-47800 Independence Ave S.W., Room 406Washington, DC 20591bill.willenbring@faa.gov
