Description
The National Park Service (NPS) will issue a Prospectus soliciting proposals for a concession contract for Lodging, Food & Beverage, Retail, Shower and Laundry, and Other Services within Bryce Canyon National Park. The Prospectus explains the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the concession contract. The Director, pursuant to 36 C.F.R. Part 51, has determined that the existing concessioner is not a preferred offeror for the contract. The National Park Service will issue the Prospectus on June 20, 2008, under the terms described in the Prospectus, with proposals due no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2008. Any proposal, including those of the existing concessioner, must be received by the Chief of Concessions, Intermountain Region, National Park Service, 12795 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado 80228 by the deadline date in order to be evaluated and considered for award of the concession contract. The Prospectus is available at the NPS website at http://www.concessions.nps.gov/Prospectus.cfm. Hard copies are available upon request for a printing cost recovery charge. The fee is $35 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $30 per copy if picked up in person. Persons interested in obtaining a Prospectus should mail, or bring in person, a check or money order (NO CASH SALES) made payable to the NPS. You must include a business address (no post office box) and telephone number to receive a Federal Express package. For personal pick up, contact Jacque Lavelle, Chief of Concessions, Intermountain Region, NPS, 12795 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado 80228 or at telephone number (303) 969-2661, during business hours of 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you are planning to submit a proposal and have obtained your Prospectus from the website, please advise Kathleen Gonder, Business Manager/Administrative Officer, at (435) 834-4300, or e-mail kathleen_gonder@nps.gov of your contact information in order to receive future responses to questions or amendments to the Prospectus. Those requesting hard copy or who have been placed on the mailing list will be provided with any additional information specific to the Prospectus in writing. Information relative to the solicitation will also be posted to the above mentioned concessions website. A site visit will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2008, in order to allow interested parties an opportunity to see the facilities. Attendance at the site visit is not required in order to submit a proposal for the Prospectus, but attendance is encouraged. No questions specific to the Prospectus will be entertained during the site visit. Questions specific to the Prospectus must be asked in accordance with the Proposal Instruction regarding questions, which is located in the Prospectus. The site visit's purpose is to view existing concession facilities and address questions about the existing Concession Contract. The site visit will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Bryce Canyon Lodge Auditorium in Bryce Canyon National Park. Parties interested in attending the site visit must R.S.V.P. by the close of business on Monday, July 15, 2008, to Kathleen Gonder (contact information listed above).
