- THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR AN UPCOMING INDUSTRY DAY AND PRE-SOLICITATION CONFERENCE. The Jacksonville District Corps of Engineers will hold an Industry Day and Pre-Solicitation Conference, by telephone on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. The toll free dial in number for this teleconference is: (877) 807-5706 and the participant access code is 125239. The total number of available incoming phone lines is limited; therefore, it is requested that each firm utilize a minimum number of lines (preferably only one or two) for those individuals participating. In order to prepare, in advance, a list of attendees of individuals participating in this teleconference, it is requested that an e-mail be sent to Dolly.M.Colwell@usace.army.mil with the following information: (1) name and address of your firm; (2) the total number of phone lines your firm will be using; (3) name and title of each individual participating; and (4) their telephone number and e-mail address. Please include a statement in this e-mail indicating whether or not Jacksonville District may include this information when posting and/or distributing the list of attendees. A DRAFT SOLICITATION (W912EP-08-Z-0005) WAS POSTED TO ASFI ON June 4, 2008. The purpose of this Industry Day and Pre-Solicitation Conference is to discuss all aspects of the Draft Solicitation, to answer questions from industry concerning the project, and to partner with industry in order to successfully accomplish this project. It is requested that all participants review the Draft Solicitation and submit any specific questions, comments, or concerns in writing via e-mail by close of business on Wednesday, July 2, 2008, to Dolly.M.Colwell@usace.army.mil. This will allow the technical and contracting team sufficient time to fully address these issues and prepare complete and accurate responses for presentation at the teleconference. The conference will begin with the Jacksonville District personnel responding to these written questions, comments and concerns. An open discussion period will follow and any additional issues may be presented at that time. All issues will be discussed as fully as possible; however, any items requiring further study and/or research may result in answers not being readily available during the teleconference and responses may require deferment to a later date.
