Description
This project includes all work associated with the cab window glass replacement and window frame repair at the Airport Traffic Control Tower, Rio Grande Valley International Airport, Harlingen, Texas. The overall project consists of, but is not limited to, the following: 1.Replace all twelve tower cab windows glass with associated aluminum retainer and window stop. Properly dispose of all removed glass and associated hardware. 2.Treat and repair existing rust damaged window steel tube frames, columns and metal trim. Strip paint and remove rust and old sealants (EXTERIOR ONLY) by mechanical or solvent procedures. Cover badly corroded areas with 1/8" thick steel strip/plate. 3.Apply two coats of "Rust Bullet" or approved equal rust inhibitor and two coats of exterior metal enamel paint over all exterior window steel stub frames, columns and metal trim. Match color to existing paint color. All coating applications shall follow product manufacturer's application instructions and requirements. Time: 45 Calendar Days (Monday through Friday) Estimated Cost: Under $200,000 NACI: 238150 Size Standards: $13.0 Million This is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE project. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
