- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Contracting Department, Norfolk Office, Norfolk VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a brand fame firm fixed-price contract for a Radiation Detection System, onsite installation and training which will be require by the Information Technical Services Division, United States Naval Academy Annapolis, MD. The radiation detection system, on-site installation and training will be acquired in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items for Certain Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures in support of the Information Technical Services Division, United States Naval Academy Annapolis, MD. The North American Industry Classification System code for this acquisition is 334516. This procurement is being solicited on an unrestricted basis. A request for a complete proposal package will be available for download on or about 20 June 2008 at the following websites: http://www.neco.navy.mil, www.fbo.gov or www.fedbizopps.gov. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above cites. This office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of a quote, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that prospective awardees must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for award to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
