Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Region 5, is planning a solicitation for the Purchase and Delivery of Composite Decking Material to the Chincoteague National Wildife Refuge, Accomack County, Chincoteague, VA. This solicitation will use Commercial Items Acquistion methods as outlined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 12. The ultimate contract award will be based on the best overall value to the goverment with the past performance (timely delivery and quality of goods) of interested qualified firms being a major deciding factor. The project consists of furnishing and delivering "Trimax Brand Name or Equal", High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plastic decking system reinforced with fiberglass to lighten and strengthen the board. The required material shall consist of: 4"x4"x12', smooth deck board; color: equal to "Trimax Weatherwood" (231 ea.); 2"x6"x12', woodgrain deck-board; color: equal to "Trimax Weatherwood" (756 ea.); 2"xs4"x12', smooth deck-board; color: equal to "Trimax Weatherwood" (178 ea.); and, galvanized star head screws, 2 1/2" (6 bx @ 3500 per box). Delivered product shall be 12' long; product must have a slip resistant finish; product must be resistant to moisture, rot, warping, and fading; product must carry a minimum 25 year warranty against failure. FOB shall be "Destination" unless otherwise noted. Delivery of materials is required on or about July 3, 2008. In accordance with Commercial Items procedures, qualified firms may propose more than one product that will meet the government's needs. The Contracting Officer will evaluate each product offered as a separate offer.. As this is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation, no solicitation package will be issued. The Contracting Officer is requesting existing product literature from interested, qualified vendors. All offers must be received no later than close of business, June 27, 2008. The NAICS is 423310. This procurement is set-aside for small business. All responsive, responsible, offerors with a strong positive past performance history, are invited to participate in this process and will be considered for contract award.
