- The work includes but is not limited to the following: 1)Remove all existing sealants, caulks, sealant backing materials, bond breaker tape, etc. from all exterior joints on the ATCT, & TRACON (Terminal Radar Approach Control) Base Building. The exterior joints included are listed below:a)Joints between precast concrete wall panels (includes architectural precast panels, structural modules, precast forms, and screen wall panels)b)Joints between precast concrete wall panels and any openings such as doors or louvers c)Joints between precast concrete wall panels and any flashing materiald)Joints between precast wall panels and aluminum store front window system componentse)All penetrations of precast concrete wall panels f)Joints between precast concrete wall panels and insulated metal panels (at Junction Level and walkway at the Control Cab Level)g)Remove and replace 4th floor louver per 3-1.2)Clean and prepare all exterior joints identified in item 1 to receive new sealant material.3)Install new sealants with proper backing materials, bond breaker, etc. in all exterior joints identified in item 1.Restore the site to its original condition upon completion of work under this contract. Repair any damage caused by the contractor's operations or equipment, such as cranes, lifts, etc. This includes sidewalks, pavement, curbs, lawns, landscape To be placed on the mailing list, please submit a request in writing via e-mail to c.o.shepard@faa.qov or fax to 816-329-3137. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
