- Question and Answers to RFQ F3C3FD8072A001A 1.1.1.1. - Replace up to 300 feet of 3/8 inch pipe for water jacket. Question: Is 3/8 inch pipe correct for the water jacket. Answer: No it is not. The correct piping is ½ inch piping on water jackets. The wrong size of piping was installed on previous work. - Replace up to 300 feet of 3/8 inch pipe for gas piping. Question: Is 3/8 inch pip correct for gas piping? Answer: No it is not. The correct piping is ¾ inch piping. The wrong size of piping was installed on previous work. - Replace following igniters: 2 inboard engine, 2 outboard engines, right front ground and rear, left front ground, PAX battery Question: What are the replacement stanards? Answer: Repair in accordance with T.O. 35E1-2-13-1. - Replace 15 gas valves in the control tower plus fittings (picture enclosed). Question: Where is the picture? Answer: There is no attached picture for this item. Repair in accordance with T.O. 35E1-2-13-1. - 50 ton of 1 inch gravel for fill in areas in the pit. Question: Is this the correct size of gravel? Answer: No it is not. Correct gravel size is 1 ½ inch crushed rock. Wrong size was previously used. - Update As Built design drawings indicating current and demo designs. Question: How can this be completed when materials are below grade and cannot be physically seen or available? Answer: Remove this statement. Contractor would have to dig the whole pit up and that is not wanted. - Verify control stand regulator valve settings and integrity. Question: Is the Technical Order for ARFF Trainers to be followed for this? Answer: Yes, follow T.O. 35E1-2-13-1, page 74 per design flexes. 1.1.1.2. - Ignitor service replacement. Question: How should repair be completed? Answer: Repair should be completed in accordance with AFSECA T.O. 35E1-2-13-1 for ARFF trainers. 1.1.1.3. - Regulator adjustment Question: How should repair be completed? Answer: Repair should be completed in accordance with AFSECA T.O. 35E1-2-13-1 for ARFF trainers. 1.1.1.5. - Winterization Question: Requirements are for repair not maintenance, are you also looking for a maintenance contract as part of this RFQ? Answer: Remove winterization requirement. This will be done at a later date with a maintenacne contract. 4.6 - Security Requirements Question: Where is the Appendix C? Answer: Please remove as there is no appendix C. 4.8. - Certification Requirements Question: Is this just a base military personnel requirement? Answer: Yes, this requirement pertains to base military personnel only and should not be part of the RFQ.
